Rare Hare Lucky Bastard 30 Year is a long-aged Canadian whisky bottled at 44.5% ABV in a 700 ml format. After three decades of maturation, it is finished in casks that previously held Pineau des Charentes, a delicate aperitif from western France that has recently gained prominence in the high-end cocktail world.
That secondary cask work adds an elegant layer of complexity, pairing decades of maturation with subtle fruit and refined sweetness. The whisky drinks as a beautifully rounded expression, where deep, mature character meets notes of fresh grapes and a refined eau-de-vie influence from Maritime France.
On the palate, mature whisky is layered with subtle fruit, fresh grape sweetness, and delicate eau-de-vie notes, closing refined and elegantly balanced. Thoughtful, nuanced, and exceptionally rare, Lucky Bastard 30 Year is made for collectors and contemplative sipping.
