Rampur Barrel Blush is an Indian Single Malt Whisky produced by Rampur Distillery, part of Radico Khaitan. It is initially matured in American Bourbon barrels before being finished in Australian Shiraz wine casks, giving the whisky a fruit-forward character of tropical fruit, dark berries, vanilla, caramel and warming spice. It is bottled at 45% ABV and is non-chill filtered.
Food Pairing: Roast duck, grilled pork, aged Gouda, Brie, dark chocolate, berry tart and crème brûlée.
Tasting Notes: Tropical fruit, floral notes, vanilla, caramel, toffee, dried dark fruit, oak and gentle spice.
Nose: Tropical fruits and delicate florals with malty notes, vanilla, caramel, toffee, dried dark fruits and oak.
Palate: Sweet and fruit-forward with ripe berries, vanilla and spice. The Australian Shiraz casks provide additional body and wine-driven fruit character.
Finish: Long, generous and lingering with fruit, vanilla, spice and oak.
Serve: Enjoy neat or with a few drops of water.
