Our Postal Stone Pinotage embodies the history and heritage of South Africa. Swartland's unique climate and mindful winemaking techniques have shaped this wine's ripe dark fruit and toasty oak characteristics. The Benguela Current flows upward along the Western Cape, carrying frigid waters from Antarctica along Swartland's coastline. This formidable current plays a pivotal role in South Africa's wine history and climate. As early sailors navigated these windy waters following trade routes, they would rest and refresh supplies in local ports. This fueled the growth of winery pitstops along the Western Cape. Today, Pinotage thrives throughout the region, nurtured by the same winds that challenged these mariners. These wines' depth and complexity tell the tale of their origins. Our 2020 vintage offers a taste of this dynamic region and its history. Scroll through the image carousel above to learn more about this wine.
