Planeta Rose is a vibrant expression of Sicily, Italy, crafted within the renowned Menfi DOC. Established in 1995, Planeta is a family owned winery deeply rooted in agricultural heritage, spanning 17 generations. Their winemaking philosophy focuses on sustainably channeling the island's diverse terroirs through both indigenous and international grape varieties.
Wine Description
This organic rosé displays a delicate pearl pink color, reminiscent of a summer sunset. The nose is highly expressive, greeting the senses with fresh aromas of Sicilian wild strawberries, currants, and hibiscus, underscored by subtle tropical hints of melon and pineapple. On the palate, the wine is light to medium bodied, lively, and incredibly supple, beautifully balancing a smooth, soft texture with a crisp, refreshing acidity. Flavors recalling meringue and the pale flesh of peaches lead into a clean, dry finish marked by a subtle, delicate mineral edge.
