Penderyn 25-Year-Old Barrel 1 Whisky
Over twenty-five years, Penderyn's signature fruit-forward spirit has developed exceptional depth and complexity while retaining the elegant character that has made the distillery one of the most respected names in modern Welsh whisky.
The influence of the sherry butt is beautifully integrated, enhancing rather than overpowering the spirit, creating a whisky where rich dried fruits, delicate sweetness and refined oak exist in perfect harmony.
- From the first pour, the nose reveals a sophisticated array of aromas, with fragrant orange blossom and dried apricot leading into layers of sherry-soaked raisins. Gentle notes of mature oak emerge alongside rich toffee and cocoa, creating an inviting and wonderfully balanced aromatic profile that reflects decades of careful maturation.
- The palate is velvety, elegant and exceptionally well-rounded. Rich malt forms the foundation, while notes of ripe fig, vanilla cream and soft toffee unfold across the tongue. Warming spices from the oak cask add depth and structure, complemented by delicate hints of cocoa powder and a subtle touch of nutmeg that linger beautifully throughout the tasting experience.
- The finish is long, refined and rewarding, leaving lingering impressions of dried fruits, roasted nuts and soft cocoa. Every sip serves as a reminder of the patience, expertise and craftsmanship required to create a whisky of this calibre.
Bottled at a cask strength of 58.1% with only 420 bottles released Worldwide.
