This is a major stylistic shift for Patrón—a high-proof, tahona-only blanco that finally leans into the authentic, agave-forward profile enthusiasts want. At 100 proof, it delivers intensity without harshness, showing real depth, texture, and minerality. A serious upgrade from standard Patrón Silver—this is built for both sipping and high-performance cocktails.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Produced at Hacienda Patrón in Jalisco, this expression is made from 100% Blue Weber agave and represents a fundamental departure from the brand’s traditional production model.
Most Patrón tequilas blend roller mill and tahona-crushed agave, but this release is 100% tahona-produced, using a large volcanic stone wheel to crush cooked agave—a slower, traditional method that enhances texture and earthy complexity.
Key production details:
- Tahona-only crushing (no roller mill distillate)
- Fermentation includes agave fibers, adding body and depth
- Distilled to proof at 50% ABV (100 proof) with no dilution
This “distilled-to-proof” approach preserves the tequila’s full natural character—capturing the agave at peak intensity without watering it down.
The result is a tequila that emphasizes purity, structure, and true agave expression—a notable evolution for the brand.
