What flavor profile should I expect from this Guatemala medium roast?
This Patria Guatemala medium roast delivers a rounded cup with mild acidity, smooth body, and noticeable chocolatey notes. The roast preserves origin character—subtle fruity hints and nutty warmth—while emphasizing a comforting cocoa finish that makes it versatile for daily drinking.
- Primary taste: soft chocolate and mild caramel sweetness
- Acidity: gentle, bright but not sharp
- Body: medium, smooth and easygoing
- Finish: clean cocoa-tinged aftertaste
How should I brew Patria Guatemala for the best results?
This ground coffee is prepared for convenience and works well across common home methods. Adjust grind-to-water ratios and brew time to match your brewer: slightly coarser for French press, medium for drip machines and pour-over, and a bit finer for cone-style filters.
- Drip/pour-over: 1 to 16 coffee-to-water ratio for balanced flavor
- French press: coarse grind, 4-minute steep for fuller body
- Straight espresso machines not ideal—use if grind suits machine
- Store in a cool, dark place and use within weeks of opening for peak freshness
Where do these beans come from and why does origin matter?
These beans originate from Guatemala, where high-altitude farms and volcanic soils create many microclimates ideal for Arabica coffee. Origin influences acidity, sweetness, and aroma; Guatemala’s terroir often produces coffees with balanced brightness and chocolatey or nutty notes, which Patria aims to preserve through medium roasting.
- Region: Guatemalan highlands with varied microclimates
- Soil: nutrient-rich volcanic soils supporting flavor development
- Bean type: select Arabica varietals chosen for consistency
- Roast approach: tailored medium roast to highlight origin traits
Is this coffee suitable for everyday use and different diets?

As a single-origin focused medium roast, it’s made for regular brewing and adaptable to many preferences without overpowering flavors.
- Pack size: 12oz bag for household use
