Tasting notes: Brown Sugar, Lychee, Rose
Finca San José Ocaña is a washed Guatemalan SL28 grown at roughly 1,850 to 1,950 metres in San Juan Sacatepéquez. Brown sugar, lychee, and rose shape a floral, luminous cup with the elegant acidity Parcel highlights in this carefully produced lot.
The Sánchez family farm dates to 1910 and covers 175 hectares, with 85 hectares devoted to coffee and the remainder used for forestry and conservation. Grevillea, silk oak, pine, and native species provide shade, while patio and greenhouse drying support the farm's long-standing focus on sustainable specialty production.
