Orin Swift Papillon Magnum
A large-format Napa Valley red blend crafted from all five Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot. The magnum format enhances ageing potential, allowing the wine to evolve with greater finesse over time. Aged for 13 months in French oak (44% new), it reflects Orin Swift's bold, expressive style and commitment to quality.
Orin Swift Cellars, founded by Dave Phinney, is known for its dramatic labels and powerful blends. Papillon is a flagship wine, showcasing fruit from hillside and valley floor vineyards across Napa. The magnum edition is ideal for collectors and celebrations, offering both visual impact and cellar-worthy structure.
- Aromas of boysenberry, kirsch, chaparral, sagebrush and dark berry pie
- Orin Swift Papillon Magnum shows blackberry, black liquorice and ripe black plum
- Long finish with dusty tannins, oak spice and subtle toast
Pairs well with seared duck breast, dry-aged steak or miso aubergine.
