Orea teamed up with SIBARIST to find the perfect paper for the Z1 Brewer. After testing every paper (and even non-paper) option, the SIBARIST FAST filter emerged as the clear winner — fast flow, exceptional brightness, clarity, and sweetness.
The Best
The first fast-flow paper designed to encourage quick flow while keeping top-tier filtration. It’s the go-to for Brewers Cup competitors and leading cafés worldwide. Orea picked it for the Z1 because it delivers fast, bright, sweet, and consistent results across coffees and conditions.
Unique Size
Orea first explored designing the Z1 around existing conventions — like AeroPress sizes or other zero-bypass brewers — but testing showed these formats just didn’t work for this style of brewer. After extensive trials, they landed on a unique 7 cm bed size as the sweet spot for perfect extraction at the intended doses. It meant creating a filter unique to Orea, but it was the right choice for the best results — no compromises.
Low Waste
Using the Z1 reduces your paper waste by 7X compared to traditional brewers, due to the massive reduction in paper size. This paper size is also smaller compared to other devices in this category. Additionally, in a zero bypass environment, it's easier to brew at wide ratios, using less coffee to reach tasty cups, which can further reduce your daily impact.
