Omega OYL-071DRY Dried Lutra® Kveik Yeast is a premium dry Norwegian kveik strain designed to produce exceptionally clean, neutral fermentations with remarkable speed and flexibility. Unlike traditional ale yeasts, Lutra® delivers crisp, lager-like results even at warmer fermentation temperatures, making it an excellent choice for brewers seeking clean beer without extensive temperature control. Each 11 g packet treats approximately 5 gallons of wort and provides dependable fermentation across an exceptionally broad temperature range.
Originally isolated from traditional Norwegian farmhouse brewing cultures, Lutra® Kveik produces minimal esters and no phenolic character, allowing malt and hop flavors to remain the focus of the finished beer. Its fast fermentation and clean profile make it suitable for pseudo-lagers, blonde ales, IPAs, cream ales, and many other modern beer styles.
This dry kveik yeast features 75–82% attenuation, medium-high flocculation, 15% alcohol tolerance, and performs across an impressive 54–95°F fermentation range. It is phenolic negative and diastatic negative, delivering consistent, neutral fermentations over a wide range of brewing conditions.
