In the 19th Century, Melanio Oliva laid the foundations for what was to become the Oliva family of fine cigars. To honor his legacy, the Oliva Serie V Melanio series was born to rave reviews. The addition of a voluptuous Maduro leaf to the line has only widened the luscious cigars legendary status, making the Serie V Melanio Maduro Torpedo one of Oliva’s all-time best.
The 94-rated Oliva Serie Melanio Maduro Torpedo is an expertly crafted 6 ½” x 52 cigar wrapped in a beautiful Maduro leaf from San Andreas, Mexico. A Nicaraguan Habano binder leaf shelters a blend of Nicaraguan Habano filler tobaccos from the lush soils of Jalapa. What emerges is a near-flawless experience of over an hour.
Once the aromatic Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro Torpedo is underway, complex flavors ooze over the taste-buds in an orgy of delicious goodness that lasts well beyond the medium-to-full bodied smoke’s final puff. Delectable notes of earth, coffee and pepper swirl throughout, while hints of salted caramel dance underneath and propel the thick and toasty finish to a most satisfying end.
Truly a magnificent Maduro with a perfect balance between strength and flavor, the Serie V Melanio Maduro Torpedo is simply a must smoke for one and all. There is not much more that can be said of the Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro Torpedo other than “Smoke it!”
