Barrel B956 in Nulu's Maple Brulee series carries the nickname Berry Butter Pancake, a nod to the flavors drawn out by the distillery's treated barrels. Seven years in wood at 58.8% ABV, this Kentucky straight bourbon arrives in a 750 ml bottle at full barrel strength.
The pour leans into maple and caramel with a buttery weight, followed by berry and a vanilla sweetness that carries through to a warming finish. It's a direct look at what Nulu's experimental approach to barrel preparation does to a single-barrel bourbon.
