New Deal Coffee Liqueur is a craft coffee liqueur from New Deal Distillery in Portland, Oregon, that showcases the quality and character of locally roasted coffee alongside premium spirits and natural ingredients. Made with real coffee from Portland's renowned coffee roasters rather than artificial flavors or extracts, this liqueur delivers authentic, rich coffee character that reflects the Pacific Northwest's serious coffee culture and craft spirits movement. New Deal's approach combines their house-made vodka with cold-brewed coffee and natural sweeteners to create a coffee liqueur that's less syrupy and more sophisticated than mass-market alternatives, offering genuine coffee complexity alongside balanced sweetness. The result is a versatile liqueur that works beautifully in classic coffee cocktails, adds depth to dessert drinks, or can be enjoyed simply over ice or in coffee for those who appreciate authentic coffee flavor in spirit form. This craft approach appeals to both coffee enthusiasts and spirits lovers who value quality ingredients and local production.
On the nose, New Deal Coffee Liqueur presents rich aromas of freshly brewed coffee with notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, and subtle roasted complexity. The palate delivers an authentic coffee experience with flavors of espresso, cocoa, and caramel balanced by natural sweetness that enhances rather than overwhelms the coffee character, creating a smooth, full-bodied liqueur with genuine depth. The finish is smooth and warming with lingering coffee, chocolate, and gentle sweetness. This liqueur excels in classic cocktails like Espresso Martinis, White Russians, and Black Russians where its authentic coffee flavor shines through, adds richness to Old Fashioneds and Manhattan variations, works beautifully drizzled over ice cream or mixed into milkshakes, or can simply be added to hot or iced coffee for an elevated treat. The craft quality and real coffee base mean it tastes significantly better than artificial alternatives while supporting local roasters and distillers. Whether you're a coffee lover seeking spirits that honor quality beans, stocking your bar with craft liqueurs that elevate cocktails beyond commercial options, or looking for versatile ingredients that work from after-dinner drinks to dessert applications, New Deal Coffee Liqueur delivers authentic Pacific Northwest coffee character and craft distilling quality in every rich, satisfying pour.
