The Naked Grape Chardonnay is a approachable, contemporary white wine produced by the Grape Valley Wine Company, based in Modesto, California (under the E. & J. Gallo umbrella), with regional iterations also expertly crafted by Arterra Wines Canada. The brand’s philosophy is rooted in the "bare it all" concept focusing on the true, unadorned character of the fruit rather than heavy oak influence. This "original classic" is designed to be a versatile, easy-drinking staple that prioritizes varietal purity and smooth drinkability, making it a favorite for those who prefer a cleaner, more fruit-forward expression of Chardonnay.
Wine Description
Naked Grape Chardonnay presents a pale, bright lemon color in the glass. The nose is highly aromatic and inviting, offering the essence of baked apple, ripe pear, and golden peach, often accented by subtle tropical notes of pineapple. On the palate, the wine is mid-bodied and remarkably smooth, delivering a silky, creamy texture that balances its crisp orchard fruit flavors with a hint of sweet caramel and vanilla. Characterized by its soft acidity and "un-oaked" freshness, it leaves a rounded, lingering fruit finish. This wine typically features an ABV of 12.5% to 13%.
