The My Father Cigars Don Pepin Garcia 15th Anniversary Blue Humidor celebrates the 2003 launch of the first brand that José Garcia called his own. Before he was the legend “Don Pepin,” he had to start somewhere, right? This was how he made his introduction to the world.
Interestingly enough, his blue band cigars didn’t catapult him to fame. Instead, a partnership with Pete Johnson and Tatuaje got him a foothold as a blender, thanks to the reception of his Cabinet Tainos blend. And his Cigar of the Year wins would come years later for other lines (Le Bijou 1922 and Flor de las Antillas).
But Don Pepin Garcia's blue band cigars were always his first real crack at producing a cigar for the world to love.
They carried his signature pelo d’oro tobacco, and the world learned about a delectable varietal that was actually banned in Cuba due to its fragility. As the years rolled by and he fine-tuned things, the Don Pepin blue (aka “original”) line got its due, notching a 93-point rating for its sweet and rich flavor. 15 years later, it was time to celebrate where this chapter of Mr. Garcia’s life had started.
The My Father Cigars Don Pepin Garcia 15th Anniversary Blue Humidor features the distinctive blue decoration that has been the brand’s hallmark right from the start. There’s even a painted cigar box seal along the side that will make you feel like you’re about to crack open an aged container of Don Pepin Garcias.
Put your key in the lock and open up your collection. This Spanish-cedar-lined humidor can hold 75 of your very best stogies. A built-in hygrometer and humidifier will help you keep everything at just the right moisture level (around 70% humidity). Use the removable tray to stow sticks underneath long-term, and keep your smoke-ready showcase cigars up top.
Fans of My Father cigars know that, in a sense, this is where it all really began. The origins of some of the finest smokes in the world are right here. Celebrate the legend of Don Pepin with this finely crafted humidor, perfect for display in your smoke lounge, office, study, or anywhere cigars need to be at hand. Your garage workshop becomes 1,000% more classy with this addition, as well.
