The My Father Blue Honduras Toro provides a more expansive and nuanced look into the blend’s tobacco architecture. Its filler core contains a balanced combination of Honduran seco and viso leaves, chosen for their earthy complexity, and Nicaraguan ligero, prized for its peppery intensity and natural cocoa tones. These are secured by a Nicaraguan binder that enhances sweetness and structural integrity. The cigar is finished with a smooth, richly colored Honduran Habano wrapper that ties the blend together with savory depth and aroma.
The Toro opens with cedar, pepper, and toasted almond, showcasing the Honduran seco’s gentle sweetness. As the ligero-rich core warms, the flavor evolves into dark chocolate, coffee bean, and warm spice, with a creamy texture delivered by the oily Habano wrapper. The Toro’s extra length allows each tobacco grade to express itself in phases — first bright and nutty, then deep and earthy, finally smooth and lingering.
Its construction is exemplary, with each leaf tightly rolled to create a slow, steady burn and a cool smoke temperature. The Toro’s format gives the wrapper more stage time, allowing its natural oils to shine through and giving the smoke a slightly richer finish than the Robusto. This is the size that best shows the line’s complexity and transitions.
My Father Cigars has built its reputation on crafting blends where each leaf is selected for purpose, balance, and flavor. The Blue Honduras Toro is a shining example of the García family’s ability to bring out the best qualities from both Honduran and Nicaraguan tobacco — creating a cigar that is bold, flavorful, and deeply satisfying.
