Midleton Very Rare has been Ireland’s most collected whiskey since 1984. Every year, the Midleton Distillery Master Distiller hand-selects the finest and rarest single pot still and single grain whiskeys from the distillery’s warehouses and blends them into a limited vintage release. No two years are the same, which is why many collectors buy each vintage. This bundle brings together the three most recent releases, all created by Master Distiller Kevin O’Gorman, and all bottled at 40% ABV, so you can taste how his blends have changed from year to year.
The 2024 marks the 40th anniversary of the series, the 2025 celebrates 200 years of Midleton Distillery with six distillate styles for the first time ever, and the 2026 is the 43rd annual release, with whiskeys aged up to 36 years. All three are aged in American oak, and each has its own personality, from tropical fruit and crème brûlée, to a spicy, complex anniversary blend, to a sweet, creamy vintage with kiwi, butterscotch, and decades-old grain.

The 40th anniversary vintage, drawn from Warehouse A2, a stone warehouse dating to the 1860s, with more first-fill oak and grain whiskey than past years. Notes of vanilla, apple, pear, peach, nectarine, crème brûlée, toffee apple, and chocolate-dipped honeycomb.
Midleton Very Rare 2025 Vintage Release
The 200th-anniversary vintage, honoring Midleton Distillery’s founding in 1825, and the first in the series to combine six distillate styles, including a rare 22-year-old and a 21-year-old grain whiskey. Notes of caramelized apple, toffee fudge, honeycomb, mint, lavender, cinnamon, and nutmeg. 94 Points; Gold, Irish Whisky Masters 2025.
Midleton Very Rare 2026 Vintage Release
The 43rd annual release, built from five distillate styles (three single pot still, two single grain) aged 14 to 36 years, including a 36-year-old grain whiskey, matured exclusively in American oak bourbon barrels. Notes of caramel, vanilla, butterscotch, kiwi, citrus zest, apricot, cinnamon, and ginger. Whisky Advocate 93 Points.
