Midleton Very Rare Barry Crockett Legacy is a premium Irish single pot still whiskey created in honour of former Midleton Master Distiller Barry Crockett. Bottled at 46% ABV, it is matured exclusively in American oak bourbon casks, including a portion aged in unseasoned American oak. The result is an elegant profile of vanilla, toasted oak, citrus, green berries, pear, mandarin, cinnamon and gentle pot still spice.
Food Pairing: Roast pork, grilled salmon, aged cheddar, pear tart, citrus desserts, vanilla custard, or lightly spiced pastries.
Tasting Notes: Elegant and refined, with vanilla and toasted oak complemented by citrus, pear, green berries, mandarin, cinnamon and gentle peppery spice.
Nose: Vanilla and toasted oak lead into lime, green berries, pear and green sweet pepper.
Palate: Fresh and vibrant, with light pepper, citrus, lime and mandarin orange alongside vanilla, cinnamon and oak.
Finish: Long and refined, with lingering citrus, vanilla, gentle spice and clean American oak.
Serve: Enjoy neat or with a few drops of water to open the citrus, vanilla and pot still spice.
