The Meraki Espresso Upgrader Kit brings together the six accessories that make the biggest difference to shot consistency at home. Rather than buying a tamper here and a WDT tool there, this set covers the whole workflow — dosing, distribution, tamping, extraction and milk texturing — in one matched package built around the 58mm standard.
Every piece is stainless steel where it matters, sized for standard portafilters, and chosen for daily use rather than display. If you have just moved onto a semi-automatic machine, this is the fastest way to close the gap between the espresso you are pulling and the espresso the machine is capable of.
What's in the Kit
- Calibrated 58mm Tamper: A spring-loaded mechanism releases at a consistent pressure, so every puck is compressed the same way regardless of who is making the shot. Removes one of the biggest sources of shot-to-shot variability for newer baristas.
- WDT Tool with Magnetic Stand: Fine needles break up clumps and redistribute grounds before tamping, eliminating the channelling behind flat-tasting, fast-running shots. The magnetic stand keeps it upright and off the counter between shots.
- Dosing Funnel (58mm): Magnetically seats on the rim of the basket so grounds land in the basket instead of across the bench. Also gives the WDT tool room to work without spilling.
- 400ml Milk Pitcher: Stainless steel with a tapered spout for controlled pouring — the right capacity for one or two cappuccinos, which is where most home setups live. The narrow spout makes latte art achievable rather than aspirational.
- Espresso Shot Cup (120ml): Graduated markings let you measure yield by volume while you dial in, and the shot glass doubles as a pour vessel once you have your recipe.
- Reusable Puck Screen: A fine mesh disc sits on top of the coffee bed to distribute water more evenly across the puck and keep the shower screen clean. Less backflush maintenance, more even extraction.
Who It's For
Ideal as a starter accessory set for a new espresso machine, or as an upgrade path for anyone still tamping by feel and dosing straight from the grinder. Fits any machine using a standard 58mm portafilter basket, including the Meraki Dual Boiler and most prosumer E61 machines.
