This compact pouch delivers a high-grade, stone-milled powdered green tea from Matcha Kari’s own Uji farm, packaged to preserve aroma and color. The 20 g resealable pouch holds roughly 20 single-serving scoops, making it easy to brew a traditional hot whisked cup or stir into cold beverages. The ceremonial grade indicates young, shade-grown leaves and a smooth, vegetal profile suited to both purists and modern matcha recipes.
What makes this matcha “ceremonial grade” and how will it taste?
Ceremonial grade matcha comes from the youngest leaf buds, shaded before harvest to concentrate chlorophyll and amino acids. Expect a bright emerald powder with a creamy mouthfeel, delicate vegetal notes, and low bitterness when prepared correctly.
- Stone-ground texture for a fine, whiskable powder
- Shade-grown leaves for higher L-theanine and vivid color
- Clean, slightly sweet umami instead of grassy astringency
How do I prepare it at home—hot, cold, or in recipes?
Use traditional whisking for hot matcha or blend it into iced lattes and smoothies for cold preparations. Measure about 1 gram (approx. 1 teaspoon) per serving, sifting if needed, then whisk with 60–90 ml hot water for a frothy consistency or blend with milk/plant milk and ice for chilled drinks.
- Hot: 1 g matcha + 70 ml water at ~80°C, whisk until frothy
- Cold: 1–2 g with 120 ml milk and ice, shake or blend
- Cooking: fold into batters, desserts, or energy bites for color and flavor
How does the packaging preserve freshness and portability?
The product comes in a small resealable pouch sized for 20 servings, which minimizes air exposure and light contact between uses. The lightweight pouch is travel-friendly, making it convenient to prepare matcha at work, the gym, or when traveling.
- Resealable zipper to keep powder dry and fragrant
- 20 g size reduces oxidation risk versus large containers
- Compact for easy transport and single-batch use
Where is this matcha grown and how is it produced?
Leaves are cultivated on Matcha Kari’s dedicated Uji farm in Japan and processed via the brand’s Harvest to Whisk program. That supply chain focus shortens time from harvest to packaging, helping retain the powder’s color, aroma, and flavor characteristics associated with Japanese ceremonial matcha.
- Grown in Uji, a historic Japanese tea region
- USDA organic certified with no additives
- Harvest-to-packaging practices to maintain freshness
Who is this for? This Matcha Kari offering suits tea enthusiasts who value authentic Japanese matcha in a travel-friendly size: those learning traditional preparation, people who want a premium add-in for lattes and recipes, and anyone seeking an organic ceremonial-grade powder without committing to a large tin. If you prefer a delicate, smooth matcha with clear provenance and a convenient resealable pouch, this 20 g option is designed to fit into daily routines and occasional ceremonial moments alike.
