An extraordinary, highly rare Portuguese red wine specially selected to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the historic Adega de Cantanhede. Crafted from old-vine Baga, this legendary Garrafeira underwent a meticulous, decade-long aging process—spending 120 months in stainless steel and 24 months in seasoned French oak barrels before bottling. It displays a sophisticated garnet color with elegant brick-brown rims, opening with an intensely complex and expressive bouquet of ripe plums, wild berries, and cassis, seamlessly layered with notes of cured tobacco, dried herbs, old leather, and delicate smoky balsamics. On the palate, it delivers outstanding volume and a dense, full-bodied structure where robust, fine-grained tannins are completely softened by age, masterfully balanced by a striking, vibrant line of fresh acidity that carries through to an unrelenting, highly sophisticated finish.
Food Pairing: A monumental partner for slow-roasted game, premium peppered beef tenderloin, traditional Portuguese roasted suckling pig (Leitão), or a selection of strongly flavored, mature hard cheeses.
