Marcotte Moonshine Apple Pie comes from Marcotte Distilling in Philomath, Oregon. Joe and Janelle Marcotte, a husband-and-wife team, opened the distillery in 2018. They now make close to 20 flavors of moonshine, and apple pie is one of the favorites.
The method is simple. The team distills its moonshine several times until it is clean and nearly neutral. Then they add natural flavorings. That clean base lets the flavor take the lead.
As the name says, this one is all about apple pie. Expect sweet baked apple and warm cinnamon spice in every pour. It tastes like dessert in a glass, and the finish stays smooth and gently sweet.
You can sip it chilled or over ice. It also mixes well with hot or cold cider, or a splash of cola. Use it in cocktails, or pour a little over vanilla ice cream.
It makes a fun gift for anyone who loves fall flavors. Bring a bottle to a holiday party or a fireside night with friends. If you love apple pie, this is the kind you can pour.
