Back in 1988, Hurricane Gilbert decimated the Jamaican cigar industry including one of Jamaica’s biggest names, Macanudo. Without missing a beat, production of Macanudo cigars was shifted to the Dominican Republic and the illustrious brand is still going strong. To prove the cigar emerged bigger and better than ever, you only need to feast your eyes (and taste-buds) on the Macanudo Café Gigante!
The hulking Macanudo Café Gigante is a thick 6” x 60 Gordo loaded with lush Dominican Piloto Cubano and Mexican filler tobaccos. A binder leaf from San Andreas, Mexico and a serene Connecticut Shade wrapper leaf complete immensely enjoyable over an hour experience.
Once the Macanudo Café Gigante is aflame, silky wood and spice notes glide over the palate joining hints of earth, nuts and toast along the way. An herbal nuance adds to the voluptuous complexity while sweet splashes of cream flow throughout a luxuriously smooth and satisfying finish.
The magnificent Macanudo Café Gigante is an exercise in extravagance that you will want to revisit again and again, with its lusciously balanced flavor and mellow character that tantalizes the senses like never before. Kick back, spark up and savor the easy going lifestyle that is Macanudo Café!
