Mac Baren Golden Extra Ready Rubbed Pipe Tobacco | Burley Blend
Introduced in 1954 and one of Mac Baren's best-selling blends ever since, the Golden Extra is a ready rubbed tobacco made from carefully blended, cask-mellowed Burley tobaccos with a touch of golden Virginia to add sweetness and balance. The room note alone is worth noting, carrying the natural wholesome fragrance of Burley pipe tobacco with its faint suggestion of roasted hazelnuts, chocolate, and cocoa powder, and the ready rubbed cut makes it easy to pack and keep lit through a long, slow session.
Mild and soft with absolutely no trace of harshness, Golden Extra is one of the most refined Burley blends on the market, with earthy, nutty, and lightly chocolatey notes that emerge gradually and reward a patient, slow-puffing cadence. A no-nonsense everyday smoke that has earned a loyal following for generations of pipe smokers.
