Louis Jadot Corton Pougets Grand Cru 2019 is a powerful Grand Cru Pinot Noir with layered aromas of ripe cherry, plum, dark chocolate, spice, and subtle oak. Richly structured with refined tannins, vibrant acidity, and impressive depth, it finishes long with exceptional balance and cellar potential.
Food Pairing: Pairs best with roast lamb, duck, venison, beef tenderloin, game birds, and aged cheeses.
95 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2019 Corton-Pougets Grand Cru (Domaine des Heritiers Jadot) is excellent, unwinding in the glass with notes of cherries, plums, orange rind, dark chocolate, sweet spices and toasty new oak. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and layered, it's deep and concentrated, with broad shoulders and rich, powdery structuring tannins. As usual, this is a fine proposition for the medium- to long-haul.
94 Points - Decanter
This domaine-owned parcel is a tradition at Jadot, who is one of the last to produce red Corton from this site. It is located mid-slope next to Le Charlemagne and most producers make white wine here. The grapes are destemmed and gently fermented to produce this bright, forward Corton, completely unlike the slightly rustic reds of previous years. The texture is lovely, silky and very fine.
94 Points - Wine Spectator
This well-toned red is marked by graphite, cherry, blackberry and oak spice. Delivers a dense spine of tannins that underlines it all, as this feels like it's shutting down at this stage. Shows purity and fine length. Best from 2025.
94 Points - Wilfred Wong of
COMMENTARY: The 2019 Domaine des Heritiers Louis Jadot Corton-Pougets is a wine at the top of its game. TASTING NOTES: This wine exhibits attractive and classic aromas of red and black fruit with chalk and oak in the background. Serve this with a crown roast of lamb accented with fresh sprigs of rosemary.
