Full-bodied and robust yet at the same time ethereal and nearly weightless, this is the essence of fine Burgundy. Lemony with white flowers and brioche aromas, followed by palate-coating opulence and supported by framing acidity.
With maturity this is capable of matching the most refined and subtle cuisine. Particularly ideal with shellfish yet equally perfect with chicken in lemon-butter or ripe cheeses and almonds.
96 Points - Wine Enthusaist
This is going to be a rich wine. Although it seems tight and closed at this stage, it is possible to imagine the ripe white fruits with citrus tinges that will emerge. Spice and good acidity are part of the mix of this opulent, succulent wine.
96 Points - Wine Spectator
This white combines power and intensity, elegance and seamlessness, supporting lemon cake, apple, nut oil and mineral flavors.
95 Points - James Suckling
Impressive weight and richness here. Plenty of grapefruit, hazelnuts, grilled lemons and grilled white peaches on the nose, all leading to a neatly coiled and concentrated palate. It has a bracingly powerful core of acidity that really punches the finish deep.
