This vibrant and expressive red wine originates from France, specifically within the northern region of Beaujolais and the Beaujolais Villages DOC subregion. Founded in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot, Maison Louis Jadot is one of Burgundy's most revered wine houses, stewarding over 500 acres of prestigious vineyards. The winery's philosophy emphasizes a non-interventionist approach to vinification, utilizing traditional Burgundian methods rather than the common carbonic maceration to focus on the purest expression of the granite and sandy terroirs.
Wine Description
The Louis Jadot Beaujolais Villages presents a strong red-purple colour with deep glints. The sensory profile is fruit-forward and juicy, featuring an elegant bouquet of strawberries, raspberries, and dark cherries, layered with sophisticated notes of grey pepper, liquorice, and a touch of rose flower. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and well-structured, showcasing a 'fresh and crunchy' texture with smooth, muted tannins and a lively acidity. It is characterized by its remarkable consistency and balance, leading to a smooth, pleasant finish. While the estate employs sustainable viticulture and natural yeasts, this bottling is not certified organic.
