Lost Lantern struck absolute mountain gold. This independent bottler scouts the entire country for exceptional casks, uncovering a colossal seven-year single malt quietly hiding inside Boulder Spirits. Maturing pure malted barley entirely within new charred oak guarantees fierce, untamed intensity. It’s a beautifully brazen approach that effortlessly bridges the gap between old-world heritage and brash American whiskey traditions!
Severe proof demands enormous respect. We absolutely adore how the extreme Rocky Mountain elevation and arid Colorado climate forcefully shove the liquid deep into the barrel staves. This remarkable interaction ensures several distinctive characteristics:
- Astonishing alcoholic weight flawlessly balanced against profound underlying sweetness.
- Magnificent layers of dark orchard fruit extracted from virgin wood.
- A gripping, tannic backbone defying standard single malt expectations.
Most producers hesitate to bottle anything flirting with hazmat territory, yet this unpeated titan inexplicably thrives under such incredibly extreme conditions. Secure this fleeting rarity right now.
