Minor Case is 90 proof and aged in cream sherry casks for an unforgettable flavour. It is the winner of the SIP Awards 2018 Platinum Medal, the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2018 Gold Medal, the SIP Awards 2017 Gold Medal, and The Global Spirits Masters 2017 Master Award.
Minor Case shows earthy notes and sweet sherry on the nose. The palate reveals a hint of butterscotch, followed by a smooth finish with hints of dried fruits.
As seventh-generation distillers, Limestone has another favourite pastime: reminiscing. In 1871, M.C. Beam began his distilling career under the supervision of his Uncle Jack Beam. By 1883, he was a partner in his operation, where he brought his son Guy, Steve and Paul Beam's grandfather into the business.
Minor Case Straight Rye Whiskey is "what might have been" in a bottle, reawakening the stills of M.C. Beam that Prohibition silenced. "I always felt it was an unfinished chapter in our book," Steve says.
