Tasting notes: Blueberry, Black Berry, Black Tea, Grape, Raw Honey
You'll experience a soft blueberry flavor along with the concentrated sweetness of freshly squeezed grapes, all supported by a rich and robust body. If you're looking for a coffee that offers a deep roast with a satisfying fruitiness, this is the one for you.
The Silinga Drying Station (DS) is located in the village of Wale, in the Bensa district of Ethiopia's Sidama region.
Sidama has produced the winning lots for all three Cup of Excellence (COE) Ethiopia competitions held so far, making it one of the most renowned regions for high-quality specialty coffee production, attracting attention from around the world.
Silinga is a new project started this season by Niguse Gemeda, where he oversees coffee production at this DS. Only the fully ripened cherries, carefully selected from nearby smallholder farmers, are accepted for processing.
① Blueberry and blackberry flavors unfold softly.
② The flavors of black tea and concentrated grape sweetness gradually emerge.
③ A rich, lingering aftertaste with the smooth sweetness of raw honey.
