Leonetti Cellar Merlot 2018 | Walla Walla Valley | 750ml | 14.4% ABV
Leonetti Cellar holds a sacred place in American wine history — founded in 1977, it was the first winery in Washington's Walla Walla Valley and remains one of its most revered. This is a wine personally selected by Luigi for Franco's.
The 2018 Merlot is a beautifully layered wine with aromas of ripe blackberry, violets, and dark chocolate. Full-bodied yet remarkably agile, it delivers a palate of stunning balance and harmony — plush dark fruit, mocha, and subtle cedar, all carried by fine tannins to a long, satisfying finish.
Leonetti's Merlot is a reminder of why this grape, in the right hands and the right terroir, produces wines of extraordinary class. The 2018 is drinking beautifully now but has years of development ahead.
Pair with: Braised lamb shanks, herb-crusted prime rib, or dark chocolate truffles.
Available at Franco's Kelowna with free next-day delivery.
