Le Domaine d'Henri Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume Heritage 2020
This Premier Cru Chablis comes from Le Domaine d’Henri, the family estate founded by Michel Laroche in northern Burgundy. The Heritage cuvee is sourced from old Chardonnay vines planted in 1937 within the Fourchaume vineyard, producing greater concentration and mineral intensity. Kimmeridgian limestone soils and careful vineyard management shape a wine focused on precision and longevity. Vinified using a combination of stainless steel, stoneware and oak ageing, the wine balances freshness with layered texture. Extended lees ageing and low-intervention handling preserve purity while allowing additional depth and structure to develop over time.
- The nose shows lemon zest, white peach and wet stone with subtle brioche and saline minerality.
- The palate delivers citrus, orchard fruit and concentrated chalky texture with precise acidity and depth.
- The finish is long and structured with oyster shell minerality, almond and lingering citrus peel.
Pair with lobster, turbot or creamy poultry dishes to complement the wine’s concentration and mineral precision.
