For many years, Lafite treated esteemed guests and friends to rare, impeccable old Armagnac casks, individually selected by the château's own winemaking team — a genuine, privately kept tradition that eventually became known outside the estate's own walls, with demand for these spirits reaching "a fever pitch" once word got out.
