The La Storia Cuvée 32 Red Blend 2022 is a bold, expressive, and fruit-forward New World red wine that serves as a highly successful, Italian-inspired "Super Tuscan" expression of its estate vineyards. It pours an attractive dark red colour with a slightly garnet shimmer, lifting with an immediate, refreshing bouquet of intense dark cherries, cassis, and raspberry confit, seamlessly layered with complex undertones of plum, blueberry, pomegranate, and mocha. On the palate, this medium-to-full-bodied red blend is remarkably smooth, juicy, and round, coating the mouth with pure, velvety intensities of sarsaparilla, baking spices, and a lush mouthfeel that highlights the exceptional quality of the 2022 vintage. Matured thoughtfully for 17 months in European oak barrels to enhance its structural depth and savory complexity, its structural crunch is sustained by relatively high, food-friendly acidity and soft, well-integrated tannins that carry into a long, fresh finish accented by a lingering touch of cocoa, leather, and black licorice.
Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with casual Italian or hearty Mediterranean fare, including tomato-based pasta dishes with meat ragù, wood-fired mushroom pizzas, grilled pork chops, gourmet beef burgers, slow-cooked lamb shanks, traditional lasagna, and semi-hard or aged cheeses.
