La Flor Dominicana Solis is Litto Gomez Jr.’s first blend — a counterpart to Tony Gomez’s La Nox, packaged in the same distinctive round box. Where La Nox is full-strength and dark, Solis pulls back to medium body and lets the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper carry the profile. Brighter, smoother, and more approachable than most of the LFD catalog, but with the construction quality the brand is built on.
The Ecuadorian Habano wrapper adds leather, caramel, and a gentle spice. The Ecuadorian Sumatra binder provides structure and some earthiness, while the Dominican Piloto Cubano filler from LFD’s La Canela farm keeps the profile grounded in Dominican character. One size — the Toro at 6½×50 — which gives the blend room to develop across a comfortable 65-minute smoke.
