La Aurora 1903 Cameroon Toro | Dominican Cigar 5 3/4 x 54
La Aurora is the oldest cigar factory in the Dominican Republic, operating since 1903, and the 1903 Cameroon line is a direct tribute to the very first cigar Eduardo León Jimenes ever rolled using a Cameroon wrapper, reinterpreted for the modern smoker. The blend features a Cameroon seed wrapper grown in Ecuador over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and a filler of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos, handmade in the Dominican Republic for a pitch-perfect, well-balanced medium-bodied smoke.
The cigar opens with toasted nuts, cinnamon, and citrus peel, with a gentle honey sweetness that lingers on the palate right from the start. Spicy cinnamon notes and cocoa carry through the middle, with wood and red citric fruit rounding out a smooth, aromatic profile that never gets harsh and stays remarkably consistent to the final draw. An outstanding everyday cigar from one of the most respected names in Dominican tobacco, at a price that makes stocking the humidor an easy decision.
