The La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Churchill (7 x 50) is a rich, box-pressed masterpiece that showcases the depth and elegance of expertly aged Nicaraguan tobacco wrapped in one of the finest maduro leaves grown today. Draped in a dark, toothy Mexican Cuban-seed San Andrés wrapper over a blend of premium Nicaraguan long-fillers, this full-bodied Churchill delivers an exceptionally layered profile of dark chocolate, espresso, cedar, black pepper, earth, and molasses-like sweetness. The extended format allows the cigar’s complexity to unfold gradually, revealing deeper nuance with every inch.
Having received a rating from Cigar Aficionado of 96, this beauty is a testament to the flavor and perfect execution that is La Aroma de Cuba. Produced in Estelí, Nicaragua, the Mi Amor line was blended to emphasize richness, structure, and old-school Cuban-style intensity while maintaining refined balance. The San Andrés wrapper is central to the cigar’s identity, contributing dense texture, natural sweetness, and a savory depth that perfectly complements the spice and body of the Nicaraguan core. The signature box-press further enhances combustion and smoke concentration, giving the cigar a slow, even burn and a remarkably smooth draw.
In the Churchill format, the blend evolves patiently and deliberately. Early waves of cocoa and pepper gradually transition into notes of roasted nuts, leather, charred oak, and baking spice, while the smoke remains thick, creamy, and deeply aromatic throughout the experience. The longer format also allows the sweeter characteristics of the wrapper to emerge more prominently in the final third, creating a finish that feels rich yet composed rather than overpowering.
The La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor Churchill stands as one of the defining modern San Andrés maduros—bold, refined, and crafted with the kind of depth and balance that rewards a long, uninterrupted smoke.
