A vibrant and authentic coconut rum, Kōloa Kauaʻi Coconut delivers bright, fresh coconut flavor with surprising restraint—a tropical treat that feels both indulgent and refreshingly dry.
Origins & Craftsmanship
Distilled and blended on the Garden Isle of Kauaʻi, this rum starts with pure cane sugar and is twice-distilled in a vintage 1,210-gallon steam-powered copper pot still. It’s then cut with filtered mountain rainwater from Mount Waiʻaleʻale, giving it a uniquely local mineral lift.
Tasting Profile
Appearance: A beautifully clear white rum with a whisper of Chantilly green opalescence, a thick texture, and bright, sparkling legs.
Aroma: Rich coconut upfront, tempered by roasted coconut and piña colada nuances.
Palate & Finish: Initially dry—thanks to its clean 80 proof—then unfolds into luscious baby coconut notes, finishing with toasted coconut, a zing of fresh lime zest, and a hint of caramelized pineapple.
Community Voice: As one rum enthusiast on r/rum noted, it “tastes like a buffed-up coconut water... more coconut-forward than Cut’n’Dry, fun!”
