Discover the story behind Empire Rye, a unique nod to New York's whiskey tradition. Crafted with a minimum of 75% New York-grown rye in its mashbill, Empire Rye is all about bold spice, rich complexity, and a touch of Gotham sophistication. It's like bourbon's cooler, spicier cousin, with an unmistakable New York attitude.
A Rare Opportunity
Thanks to our deep relationship with Kings County Distillery, we gained exclusive access to some extraordinary Empire Rye barrels—a rare opportunity that doesn't come around often. Unable to choose just one, we selected two standout barrels, each offering a distinctive profile.
Meet Barrel #7459
This is the pair's first release, and it's truly something special. Aged in full-size 53-gallon barrels (a departure from Kings County's usual 30-gallon barrels), Barrel #7459 delivers a smoother, gentler rye experience. Its unexpected butterscotch-forward profile sets it apart from traditional ryes, offering a rich, complex, and unforgettable sip. You can also look forward to notes of raisins, caramel, and pecans on both nose and a palate. Finish is quintessential Kings County, which is to say long
