The Kilchoman Machir Bay Whisky Gift Pack with Glasses is a spectacularly presented, heavily peated, and beautifully balanced Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky set crafted by Islay's independent farm distillery. Named after one of the island's most beautiful sandy beaches, Machir Bay is the definitive flagship expression of Kilchoman, uniquely matured in a combination of first-fill Bourbon barrels and Oloroso Sherry casks to marry classic maritime smoke with vibrant fruit. It pours a clear, pale straw-gold hue in the glass, lifting with an intense, expressive bouquet of fresh maritime peat smoke, lemon zest, and crunchy green apple, woven with underlying layers of sweet vanilla, sea spray, and warm baking spices. On the palate, this medium-bodied single malt is remarkably smooth and fruit-forward, delivering concentrated flavours of sweet tropical fruits, baked pear, and creamy butterscotch, punctuated by cracked black pepper, campfire smoke, and a touch of salt flakes. Balanced by a refined spirit warmth, it glides into a clean, exceptionally long finish that leaves a dry, lingering impression of rich peat smoke, vanilla, and sweet citrus zest.
Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with smoked salmon canapés, fresh raw oysters with a lemon squeeze, barbecued pork ribs with a sticky sweet glaze, slow-roasted pork belly, or artisanal desserts like dark chocolate sea salt truffles and mature cheeses like Stilton blue cheese or sharp aged white cheddar.
