Privada Storytelling
The Roller’s Voice
Every year, the master rollers of Joya de Nicaragua are given one chance to make a statement. The Selección de Torcedor isn’t a marketing blend—it’s a message from the factory floor, a cigar chosen by the artisans who roll hundreds every day. The 2019 edition of this rare release is both classic and curious—medium to medium-full in body, full in character, and dripping with soul.
This is Nicaragua talking to you directly: cedar-laced spice, warm oak, hints of salt and smoke, all wrapped in earthy elegance. It opens up slowly, like a slow sunrise in Estelí. There’s toasted bread, cracked pepper, and just enough oil in the wrapper to promise a proper finish. Rolled not for the masses, but for the initiated.
Flavor Journey
First Third: Creamy texture with cedar and spice up front, natural tobacco sweetness and light pepper round the edges
Second Third: Earth, oak, and leather deepen the core, with smoky undertones and a mineral hint
Final Third: Toasted grain and bread emerge, finishing on a balanced note of wood, salt, and black pepper
Why It Belongs in Privada
Because not every cigar is made for the shelf. Some are made for the soul. This one never saw full-scale production. It was rolled in small runs for special hands and selected palates. That’s the Privada standard: finding the unreleased, the hidden, the deeply personal blends that carry a story only a factory floor can tell. A rare gem with authentic voice—this is why we exist.
