Joya de Nicaragua has always been known for accessibly smooth and easy-going smokes for the masses, yet that reputation has been turned on its head with the Antano 1970. Rich and seriously full-bodied, the Antano 1970 Gran Consul is a truly stunning smoke.
The Antano 1970 Gran Consul is a 4 ¾” x 60 Nicaraguan Puro that is simply overflowing with bold tobaccos. The core is comprised of a toothy blend of Nicaraguan filler tobaccos that are surrounded by a spunky Nicaraguan binder. The leathery Nicaraguan Habano Criollo wrapper finishes it off to complete the hour-long or so smoke.
Once flame meets leaf, the Antano 70 Gran Consul becomes an incredible flavor delivery system powered by rich tastes of earth, pepper and wood. Notes of spice and leather will come barreling through the perfect draw, only adding to the lively character of the smoke. Smooth, velvety and intensely bold, the Antano 1970 is perfect for heavier-minded aficionados.
The Joya de Nicaragua Antano 1970 is a magnificently robust cigar that, although not for everyone’s taste, will surely find a home in humidors across the land. If you want spice and body without waiting until the final run to get it, then the Antano 1970 is one you don’t want to miss!
