Introduction:
Johnny Q Shiraz Viognier is an expressive Australian red blend that highlights the bold character of Shiraz complemented by the aromatic lift of Viognier. Crafted by winemaker Johnny Quarisa, this wine embodies his philosophy of approachable, fruit-driven wines that balance power, spice, and elegance.
Tasting Notes:
-
Nose: Aromas of ripe blackberry, plum, and dark cherry with floral hints of violet and subtle spice.
-
Palate: Full-bodied and smooth with layers of juicy dark fruit, pepper, and a touch of vanilla, balanced by soft tannins and the delicate perfume of Viognier.
-
Finish: Long and velvety with lingering notes of dark fruit, spice, and gentle oak.
Pairings:
Pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, barbecued ribs, or hearty stews. Its rich and spicy profile also complements aged cheeses, roasted vegetables, and charcuterie.
