The HVC Hot Cake Laguito #5 Maduro is a 6" × 54 Toro from Reinier Lorenzo's HVC Cigars, wrapped in a dark, toothy Mexican San Andrés Maduro leaf. Beneath that wrapper lies a Nicaraguan Corojo binder and a blend of Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, including Corojo 2006 Maduro. Rich and full of character, the Hot Cake combines the deep flavours of Maduro tobacco with the distinctive spice and sweetness of Nicaraguan Corojo.
Dark chocolate and espresso take centre stage, joined by caramel, roasted nuts and warm baking spice. Notes of raisin and molasses contribute a pleasing sweetness, while earth and a touch of pepper give the profile additional depth. The result is a rich, creamy smoking experience with plenty of complexity.
Fog & Flame Notes: There's a reason the Hot Cake has developed such an enthusiastic following. Reinier Lorenzo has paired the natural richness of Mexican San Andrés Maduro with the spice and sweetness of Nicaraguan Corojo, creating a cigar with a particularly indulgent flavour profile. Chocolate, coffee, caramel and dark fruit make this an appealing choice for Maduro enthusiasts, while the generously sized Laguito #5 gives you plenty of time to appreciate its character. A fine cigar to enjoy after dinner, especially alongside a good coffee.
