THE DESIGN
Nero Marquina is a deep black marble quarried in the Basque Country of northern Spain, prized since the early 20th century for the fine white veining that runs like lightning through its dark body — a favourite of Art Deco designers and a benchmark for bold interiors today. Here it forms the humidor insert designed to sit on the Litolite Lacquered Bar Cabinet, though it stands beautifully on its own.
THE COLLECTION
Made to order as part of the Litolite bar system: crafted to commission and configured together with your bar cabinet, so the design — stone or wood, drawer-front finish, gold or silver pairing — is finalised with you before production. El Laguito Cigars configures the piece with the atelier, confirms the lead time and manages the import.
THE CRAFT
Humidity is managed by Boveda packs, a two-way system that releases moisture as the interior dries and reabsorbs it when the level climbs, holding a steady figure rather than swinging. No distilled water and no sponge: replace the packs when they begin to stiffen, typically every two to four months. An automatic ventilation system keeps the humidity uniform through the whole interior, and internal LED lighting brings out the material every time the drawer opens. The drawer fronts are solid oak rather than veneered panel, so they stay flat over years of humid air on one face and dry room air on the other. Interior lined in Okoumé.
SPECIFICATIONS
• Capacity: 150+ cigars, measured on a standard Robusto (larger ring gauges reduce it, slimmer vitolas increase it) • Humidification: Boveda 320 g packs (not included), automatic ventilation • Internal LED lighting • Solid oak drawer fronts, Okoumé interior • Made in Italy • Made to order: typically 6–8 weeks from the atelier plus transit to Canada, confirmed at configuration
WHO THIS IS FOR
• The top of the Litolite Lacquered Bar Cabinet, for a complete cigar-and-spirits station • A collection that has outgrown a desk humidor • A collector who wants the finish matched to the room
CARE
Keep below roughly 21 °C and out of direct sun. Clean the marble with a soft, barely damp cloth only — acidic and limescale products etch polished stone permanently.
AUTHENTICITY GUARANTEED
Litolite — handcrafted in Bassano del Grappa, Italy. Imported directly from the atelier by El Laguito Cigars.
