Hive Mind Rum Barrel Aged Traditional Mead
This mead from Hive Mind is a bold and adventurous expression of one of the world's oldest fermented beverages. Brewed using 100% pure honey and aged to perfection in oak rum barrels. This mead pays homage to the golden age of seafaring.
- Hive Mind Rum Barrel Aged Traditional Mead pours a deep golden hue, shimmering like liquid amber in the glass.
- Aromas of oak and vanilla rise from the surface, interwoven with hints of warming spices that recall distant, exotic shores.
- On the palate, the influence of the rum barrels becomes apparent, with bold, warming notes of toffee, caramel, and charred wood.
- A rich, honeyed sweetness balances the mead’s robust character, creating a luxurious mouthfeel that coats the palate.
- Subtle layers of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove add complexity, enhancing the warmth and depth of the experience.
- The finish is long and satisfying, leaving traces of oak, vanilla, and a lingering whisper of spiced honey.
Pairs beautifully with rich, savoury dishes like spiced lamb or braised pork, as well as dark chocolate and sticky toffee desserts.
