Hirmas Pomegranate Molasses is a single‑ingredient, concentrated pomegranate juice (nar eksisi) in a 12 oz glass bottle, offering bold tartness with no added sugar or additives.
This concentrated pomegranate reduction captures authentic Mediterranean flavor in a pure, pantry‑ready form. Made from only pomegranate juice, this molasses delivers a bright, tangy-sour backbone ideal for dressings, glazes, marinades, sauces and beverages. Bottled in glass to protect aroma and color, it’s a minimal, clean-label ingredient suited to vegan and gluten‑free cooking.
How does Hirmas Pomegranate Molasses change the flavor of everyday dishes?
Its concentrated tartness brings pronounced sweet‑sour depth without added sugar, balancing rich or fatty ingredients and adding brightness to simple recipes. A small amount goes far: the concentrate provides intense flavor so you can lift salads, roast vegetables and grilled proteins with just a drizzle.
- Intensifies dressings like fattoush and citrus vinaigrettes.
- Balances fatty meats when used in marinades or glazes.
- Adds depth to stews, sauces and vinaigrettes without overpowering.
What are the practical uses and portion tips for cooking?
This molasses functions as a finishing drizzle, a marinade base, or a sauce component—use sparingly because of its concentrated nature. Start with a teaspoon or tablespoon depending on recipe size and taste, then adjust; it blends well with olive oil, mustard, honey alternatives, and warm spices.
- Salad dressing: 1–2 tsp per serving mixed with olive oil and lemon.
- Marinade: 1–2 tbsp combined with yogurt or oil for 1–2 lbs meat or vegetables.
- Dipping glaze: Reduce with stock or honey substitute for a sticky finish.
Is this product suitable for special diets and how is it made?
Yes. Hirmas Pomegranate Molasses contains only concentrated pomegranate juice—no added sugars, thickeners, colors or preservatives—making it compatible with vegan and gluten‑free diets. The production follows traditional nar eksisi methods: slow reduction of pomegranate juice until it reaches a viscous, richly colored concentrate.
- Single ingredient: 100% concentrated pomegranate juice.
- Free from gluten, animal products and artificial additives.
- Packaged in glass to preserve flavor and color integrity.
How should I store and use the 12 oz glass bottle to keep flavor optimal?
Keep the bottle tightly capped and store in a cool, dark pantry away from heat and direct sunlight to maintain aroma and color. Refrigeration after opening can prolong freshness and slow crystalization; if it thickens in cold, let it sit at room temperature briefly before using.
- Store sealed in a cool, dark place before opening.
- Refrigerate after opening to extend shelf life—allow to come to room temperature if too thick.
- Use a clean spoon to avoid contamination and maintain quality.
Who is this for: Hirmas Pomegranate Molasses is aimed at home cooks, chefs and food lovers who want an authentic, no‑additive nar eksisi to add bright, complex acidity to Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and everyday recipes. It’s ideal for people following vegan or gluten‑free diets, anyone avoiding added sugars, and cooks seeking a concentrated, shelf‑stable ingredient to transform salads, marinades, glazes and drinks.
