High West The Prisoner’s Share is an exquisite, limited-edition release that marries the distinct, bold profiles of High West's finest straight bourbon and straight rye whiskeys. This unique blend is meticulously finished in French oak barrels that previously held the iconic The Prisoner Red Blend wine. The result is a highly complex, richly layered whiskey that beautifully balances the spicy, robust nature of the base spirits with the lush, dark fruit notes and refined tannins imparted by the premium wine casks.
Food Pairing: Rich, savory dishes such as braised beef short ribs, smoked brisket, or a gourmet charcuterie board featuring aged gouda, cured meats, and dark chocolate truffles.
TASTING NOTES - A deeply inviting, mahogany-hued whiskey that feels velvety and viscous on the palate, bursting with rich layers of dark fruit, warm baking spices, and a touch of roasted oak.
NOSE - Aromas of cherry blossom, pomegranate, macerated berries, Madagascar vanilla bean, toasted cedar, and a hint of dark chocolate.
FINISH - Long, warming, and pleasantly dry with lingering impressions of black pepper, dark berry compote, and subtle French oak tannins.
SERVE - Best enjoyed neat or with a single large ice cube to slowly open up the complex wine finish.
