High West A Midwinter Night's Dram Act 13 is the highly anticipated annual limited release that has become a cult favorite among whiskey enthusiasts. This exceptional rye whiskey is High West's beloved flagship Rendezvous Rye (a blend of straight rye whiskeys aged 4 to 10 years) finished in Ruby and Tawny Port barrels, creating a magical winter sipper.
Named after Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," this winter-themed whiskey is released each fall in limited quantities. Each "Act" represents a new vintage year, with "Scenes" denoting different batches within that Act. The port cask finishing adds layers of dark fruit, chocolate, and wine complexity that transform Rendezvous Rye into something truly special.
Tasting Notes:
- Aroma: Crushed blackberries, mandarin zest, almond shortbread, fig jam, allspice, and plum syrup
- Palate: Marionberry preserves, chocolate-dipped cherries, marble rye bread, mochaccino, cinnamon bark, and winter pine
- Finish: Velvety and spiced with chai cold foam, clove-studded orange, and soft ginger chew
Perfect for special occasions and winter evenings by the fire. This limited release earns reward points and counts toward VIP access but is not eligible for discounts. Enjoy neat to appreciate its many layers of complexity. A true collector's item and one of the most sought-after annual releases in American whiskey.
